Neofuser Vario Plus combines the multi-rate function of Neofuser Vario with the bolus function in one model.
The multi-rate module offers the possibility, also during drug administration, to choose from seven different flow rates. The continuous basal rate is either regulated or completely stopped by a removable key.
The selected basal rate is confirmed by a clearly audible click sound.
In order to avoid an overdose, the nominal bolus dose can only be retrieved at defined intervals, named lock-out-time.
The lock-out-time is regulated by the flow rate of the additional restrictor at the entrance of the bolus reservoir.
If the bolus is used before the lock-out-time has elapsed, a proportionally reduced bolus will be administered.

You can select one of 7 continuous basal flows or the off mode. And when needed, you can infuse an additional bolus dose using the PCA module.
